Bethel’s comprehensive plan survey IDs priorities

BETHEL, NY — The Town Of Bethel is in the process of updating  its comprehensive plan, known as “Bethel Forward.”

As part of this planning process, the Comprehensive Plan Committee has developed a  survey in various formats—online and printed along  with QR codes for ease of access. The survey return date is on or before Thursday, October 31.

The survey asks Bethel residents, business owners, landowners and second homeowners about their priorities, what they would like to see in Bethel and how the town can better serve their needs.

It has been designed to take 20-25 minutes to complete.

Questions on the survey range from demographics to opinions about development. All  individual responses will be kept confidential, and the results will only be reported as a compilation.

“The challenges, strengths, and opportunities that we face today are  significantly different than they were years ago,” town officials said.

The survey can be found at www.townofbethelny.us. It is also available on paper; copies are available at Bethel Town Hall, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday through Friday except holidays. Mail the paper surveys to 3454 State Rte. 55, White Lake, NY 12876.

Printed copies with a QR link to access the survey can also be distributed for those who prefer a hard copy.

The committee’s outreach process will continue for the next several months with public workshops, interviews and focus groups. Details of these will be advertised and  announced on the town’s website.
